When you join Early Access or otherwise interact with StarterTables, you may provide information such as:

• your first and last name;
• email address;
• city and country;
• LinkedIn profile URL;
• professional roles and skills;
• interests;
• how you want to participate in StarterTables;
• what you are looking for;
• information about a project or startup you are building;
• your startup or project stage;
• your readiness or interest in joining the platform;
• cities or destinations that may be relevant to StarterTables Go;
• feedback about what you expect StarterTables to provide; and
• whether you choose to receive product updates or other optional communications.

Referral and attribution information

If you reach StarterTables through an invitation or campaign, we may record information such as a referral identifier and campaign attribution parameters. This helps us understand how people discover StarterTables and how the early network grows.

Technical information

Like most web services, our hosting and infrastructure providers may process technical information required to deliver and secure the website, such as request information, device or browser information, IP addresses and diagnostic or security logs.

If we introduce additional analytics or tracking technologies, this notice and, where required, our consent mechanisms will be updated before those technologies are used.

These purposes may include:

• registering and managing Early Access interest;
• understanding who is interested in joining the StarterTables network;
• understanding skills, interests, needs and intended participation;
• developing and improving the StarterTables product;
• designing future discovery, matching and recommendation experiences;
• measuring how people discover and refer others to StarterTables;
• communicating with you about access, your participation or important service-related matters;
• sending optional product updates where you have requested them;
• preventing fraud, abuse and misuse;
• maintaining the security and reliability of our services; and
• complying with applicable legal obligations.

We will not treat information collected for one purpose as permission to use it for any unrelated purpose.

Consent

We may rely on your consent where you actively choose to receive optional communications or where consent is otherwise required by law. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it.

Some processing may be necessary to provide something you request, such as registering your interest in Early Access or, once the platform launches, providing requested services.

Legitimate interests

We may process information where this is necessary for legitimate interests such as developing and improving StarterTables, understanding use of the service, maintaining security, preventing abuse and operating the network effectively, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.

Legal obligations

In some circumstances we may need to process or retain information to comply with applicable law or respond to lawful requests.

We may share or make information available to service providers where this is necessary for them to provide infrastructure or services to StarterTables.

At the current Early Access stage, this includes infrastructure used to operate the website and database services used to store Early Access registrations.

The final production processor list will be reviewed and completed before public launch as additional hosting, analytics, authentication, communication or operational services are introduced.

We may also disclose information where required by law, necessary to protect legal rights or required to protect StarterTables, its users or others from fraud, abuse or security threats.

Personal information will be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including the operation of Early Access, development of the StarterTables network, security requirements and applicable legal obligations.

Different categories of information may require different retention periods.

Where personal information is transferred outside the European Economic Area or another jurisdiction that provides equivalent protection, StarterTables will use an appropriate legal mechanism where required.

The specific transfer arrangements applicable to the final production infrastructure will be reviewed and reflected in this notice before launch.

Under the GDPR, these can include the right to:

• be informed about how your information is processed;
• request access to personal information held about you;
• ask for inaccurate information to be corrected;
• request deletion in applicable circumstances;
• request restriction of processing in applicable circumstances;
• receive certain information in a portable format;
• object to certain processing;
• withdraw consent where processing relies on consent; and
• raise a complaint with the competent data-protection supervisory authority.

These rights are not absolute and can depend on the circumstances and legal basis for the processing.

We will provide a clear way to submit privacy requests once the StarterTables privacy contact channel is finalized.

StarterTables may use technologies that are technically necessary to operate, secure or remember essential aspects of the website.

We have not used this notice to pre-authorize future advertising, analytics or tracking technologies that have not yet been selected.

If non-essential analytics, advertising or similar technologies are introduced, we will update the relevant disclosures and implement consent controls where required.

We use and continue to develop technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, loss or misuse.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. Our security practices will evolve as StarterTables moves from Early Access into a broader production platform.

We may update this notice when the product, our processing activities, service providers or legal obligations change.

When we make changes, we will update the date shown at the top of this page. Where a change is significant and applicable law requires additional notice, we will take appropriate steps to inform affected users.
